Even
gods become old. So does Saturn, one of the oldest gods of Rome. He
chooses to retire, and wants his son to acquire his place. The council
of the gods respectfully acknowledges his will and greets an heir to
take Saturn’s place on one condition. He has to confirm that he is
commendable of their trust and divine powers he is about to obtain.
The
future appears bright and glorious for the son of Saturn. But not all
the great gods are willing to greet newcomers at the Capitoline Hill.
